The sun crept below the horizon. David awoke from a nap. After his training and a fairly large meal, he wanted to lay down. David put his hooded sweatshirt back on. Slipped on some gloves and his mask.
Let’s do this
David turned on his television and change the channel to the news and got on his computer. As he was beginning to look for police scanner programs, a bulletin sprung up on the news. There was a hostage situation going on at the bank.
Whoa, this is huge. I expected something small.
David hesitated for a moment. Was he ready? He decided,
David wanted to conserve his strength so he briskly walked to the hostage scene. He lived in a somewhat large town, but the walk was brief. Police had the bank surrounded. They were shouting into a megaphone, trying to get the men inside to answer the phone. The town’s people had gathered around the scene.
“Whoa, what’s going on here?” David asked one of the onlookers, his mask now hidden within his hooded sweatshirt.
“Some guys were trying to rob the bank,” the person explained, “I guess the alarm got triggered, so now they’re holding hostages.”
“How many guys?” David questioned, still trying to keep his face hidden beneath his hood.
“I think I heard one of the cops say four,” the person said, fully enthralled in the bank situation.
“How many hostages?” David asked, trying to get as much information as possible.
“Listen, kid, I’m just here to watch,” the person exclaimed, a little upset from the interrogation, “I don’t have all the answers.”
“Sorry,” David retorted walking away from the scene.
I should be able to handle four guys, I mean, I am Battery Man… God that is awful. After this, new name.
David walked down the street to a street lamp.
Alright, hope this works.
He opened the electrical panel and reached in with his hand. He could feel a surge flowing through his body. The light began to flicker with increasing intensity then it shattered.
Whoops. Time to go.
With a zap, David was thrust into the electrical current. He burst into a room in the bank. There were two men with guns watching over a group of hostages sitting on the floor.
“What the fuck?” one of the men exclaimed caught off guard.
“Oh shit,” David muttered with a slight sigh.
